Geezer deserved getting nicked. He obviously was being difficult with the OB. That's the thing people need to understand, these days give a copper lip or don't cooperate then they'll nick ya, simple as.

what about his neighbour tho calling the cops on him just cause she'd heard a bang on the floor, maybe she was just concerned and he was an arsehole. bit OTT cs gasing someone when they are trying to shut there door on your foot tho. lol

hmm seems like theres more to this than is being told by this man
I sometimes drop heavy objects on the floor, and my neighbours don't call nines and have the OB turn up.
Even if they did do so it would be out of genuine concern, as I do a fair bit of DIY and live on my own so I might have met with a nasty accident...
in such a case of a false alarm I'd be civil with the cops anyway as they would only be doing their job. Its because of responding to things like this they often assist people in genuine trouble, particularly the old and vulnerable.
Either this man was drunk and then agressive to the cops, had something openly on display in the house he didn't want them to see (in which case hide it!) or has a history of aggression of some sort (a violence warning marker stays on PNC record for life).
PC plod also has to wonder what else is going on there - for all you know he could have beaten seven bells of shit out of someone he disagreed with or even killed them and then locked them up in a cupboard... its their job to assume the worst unless told otherwise...

there's probably much more to this story than is reported..
I'm only guessing the neighbour is either a bussybody or they have some sort of history between them -
maybe where they've had to call 9's for him before......
That does take the piss a bit but yeah i agree, there's probaly more that's not been said or they're just miserable bastards.

even if the people calling are "miserable bastards", the dibble do tend to distinguish between genuine reports and the sort of old granny what calls nines if they see a strange cat in the garden and task the cops accordingly.
police control rooms have a command and control system with a database that often flags up repeated incidents at the same address, and also they can work out how many calls came from the same telephone number and link this to an address - as well as this they have a way of recording who lives there and a link to their own PNC records...

Either this man was drunk and then agressive to the cops,
i was thinking the same thing due to his lack of teeth and the fact he fell on the floor "in hysterics" ...
