yet when decent crews wanted to do hall parties they get knocked back.
OK there was the issue with some crews giving false details and not running the party well, but the blanket refusal the police have encouraged isn't helping anyone..
looks like East Anglian stubborness might make everyone lose, they'd rather lose the hall than let people do parties (even well run ones) in it?

A struggling village hall on the Norfolk-Suffolk border could close next month unless it receives a fresh injection of cash and community support.
The public facility at Weeting, near Brandon, was almost shut five years ago following a spate of vandalism attacks and mounting repair bills.
But officials from the building, in Saxon Place, are now facing up to the prospect of having to permanently close it as a result of rising utility bills and a lack of use by local groups.
