just out of interest...

i have been going out with my boyfriend 8 months today, and before we were an item i was the one who told him i liked him. once we had been going out not very long he said that he had always liked me.

a couple ex's have said the same... is this something all guys say? lol :you_crazy

i thought it was sweet when my bf said it, and he also said that he thought he would scare me if he told me he liked me before...

is it just guys that say this? or do girls say it too...

I would say both, i have had it said to me once and i have also said it too a lad my current boyfriend in fact only reason i didnt act on it earlier was because i was seeing someone else, there could be lots of reasons i guess, shyness, being in a relationship lots i guess the thing to ask them is why they didnt ask you sooner

i kninda thought it was like why if people like you don't they just ask you out and then why when you get together they say i have liked you for ages!If they had liked you for ages why wait so long to ask you out ect.

to be honest when I was younger (around 17- 18) I had 3 (ex) boyfriends tell me they l'oved me,'
with in a short period of time going 'out' with them,

and it completely freaked me out

it didnt help that 2 were quite mental and then starrted stalking me afterwards

but I think telling someone you 'like' them is nice,

as it doesnt have all the 'serious' overtones attatched to it that 'love' means at that age

the whole 'love' thing for me was quite a weird sinario (?sp) at such a young age
