heard about this site when i ended up at a NYE warehouse bash - haven't been to any free parties for a few years but me and a few mates are keen to relive our student days and try to get out of town and into the fields / woods this year...

it seems like theres quite a lot going on - any advice about how to get in the know appreciated...

Hi Mark welcome to the site. Try going to a few legal events and get chatting to people. In light of recent events information is hard to come by!! My advice is to stick around and get to know people! :wink:

there's a lot going on but not all of it is good

- a massive backlash from the "rest of society"
- parties getting stopped, rigs seized left right and centre
- crews (even those who do legal events) getting quizzed by the cops
- CO19 shutting down some parties
- loads of surveillance on line, including journalists and landowners posing as ravers trying to gain info.

If you're about the same age as me and looking for the care-free days of the 90s, they are long gone and they aren't coming back. Even the ones what happen in London still have trouble with rudeboys etc, many free party promoters have gone back to the legal events anyway.

but there are still the odd few good parties once you get to gain peoples trust.

Anyway if you live in London there's a ton of legal events with an underground ethos, check our events section for them..
