wooord up junglist massive!

this thread is just like... junglist talk, favourite drum n bass artists, good mixes to link-up, events, whatever really

first off my favourite drum n bass artists at the moment, two very different artists...

high contrast - liquid drum n bass at its finest, this guy produces some properly sick stuff - "if we ever" is a proper liquid anthem, gonna stick with us that one imo.... on remix duties he's class too, any of his streets remixes, specially "its too late"

black sun empire - darkstep full-on beats, love BSE, waitin for endangered species part 3 to arrive, loved part 1. "winter war" with noisia is whats stuck on the turntable at the moment

also for some jungle/ragga/mash-up check out tester, http://www.trilogysoundcrew.com/mixes.htm the summer 2006 teaser mix is sick as fook

anyhow get on it share the music and the knowledge, respect!

generally im reaaalllyyyy not a fan of DnB all that much. i prefer jungle alot more

its all about the breakcore bloodclart ragga jungle
shit like general malice, paulie walnuts, trilogy sound crew, bounty killer etcetc

trilogy sound are sick! jungle is dnb but dnb is not jungle apparently. its all a bit confusin

i like the 'intelligent' dnb of old and the jungle techno sound of genaside II

if you find me 2 tunes that compare to anything i have in my old school archive i will be grateful

i must say tho (in a less violent way:wink:) ... that boothy is right .... there are MANY diferant styles of D+B .. some can be more relaxing and uplifting than most old skool tunes ..... others can be almost as dark as gabba .... you can't brand ALL D+B with the same brush .. .. thats just like saying that all jungal it some guy banging drums for no reason or that all techno is just a constant beat with no musical value :hopeless:

That's exactly what i've been looking for lately.

I found stuff more like sped up and bassy, techno-ish as well.

People like SPL, Raiden, COOH, the Sect.

Only problem is, there isn't a HUGE deal of variation, so i reckon good for using in between two big tunes if you're mixing, but not really that amazing to listen to on your own.

Does anybody know of any tunes (and people who make tunes) like Hydra by Spor?

was hoping someone could help me..
i downloaded a few of nano 42's sets from this site's download section, and they are pretty good, but ive found one of his sets named 'nano42-jump@syndicate', it has an mc in it, and it seems that the full version was once available, but now all i can find is a file called 'nano42-jump@syndicate-snippet', which is kinda annoyin cuz it is only a 9min clip and not the full set. I was hoping some of u drum & bass fans could help me out and post up the full set if u have it

yeah its pretty fucking dark isnt it. I was gonna see him at glade last year, but the set times were all fucked cause of the near biblical flood.

I think... perhaps? Typecell makes a similar sound as Spor.
