Finally... Fresh Pasta.

I got my pasta machine this morning so I spent the last hour making a load of different pastas.

Anyhow so far I've made garlic, tomato and basil tagliatelle and also another tagliatelle with a tuscan herb blend (of basil, majoram, oregano, thyme, sage, fennel, onion, garlic and lavender)

and some basic pepper and basil fettucine.

Anyone got any other ideas?

(obviously not for today as I have about 3/4kg of fresh pasta now to eat before I need more)

I remember doing the same (when my ex got his pasta machine) went on a real 'pasta bender!!'

can you put chillis into the pasta? or do you put it in the filling?

i LOVE making fresh pasta, its exciting and fun!! gives ya hands a work out when ya kneeding it! lol

only problem i have is when i put my pasta through my machine on the last settling a few times, sometimes th eedges get caught on the side of the machine and they fold up and cause loads of nasty stuff to happen, hard to explain, but if you make pasta you'll know what i mean!!!!

very important, if ya cooking tagetelli, dont cook it for anymore than two minutes, i cooked mine a few times for no more than 5 minutes, was fine but it was just too mushy and had no texture to it!!

all takes time and practice =) but you WILL notice the difference and probably never buy shop pasta again (apart from spagetti maybe)

I have an idea... Get in a car, drive to London and serve me this pasta. I have no food in my house and I am far too stoned to even think about going to the shops. Garlic, tomato and basil tagliatelle sounds about the most scrumptious of all things to eat right now...
