We'd need a bit more info so its very difficult to determine without seeing it unless its a common fault.
What amp is it?

I wouldn't say they are fool proof. I know of a lot of problems with c-mark amps. Could be similar situation as this

Also don't be fooled by the ratings on the box the cmarks are chinese watts. When bench tested they could only supply full power for about 1 second before dipping as the power supply can't handle it. If your buying budget kit you need the warranty as it is not uncommon for things to fail.
For the money I'd check out matrix amplifiers. The company went bust and the guy who made them still makes them from home and they are really good quality at rock bottom prices. Also andy who builds them will repair them anytime usually for free and is a wicked guy.

If you need to buy a c-mark get it new as the warranty will be seriously handy.

They do indeed they are exactly the same amp.
They are all made in the one factory in China and then have different cases slapped on depending on who's selling them.

Aye we use crown macro techs 1201s on our bass and its a bastard.....they have a red light on all the time. It scared the shite into me the first time I turned one on and teh red light wouldn't turn off.
Other than that though they are lovely amps though. We're thinking of getting a couple of 3600s to do our wsx's when we finally get the cash together again.

was getting to the stage where there was to many cooks, so i fired a few people off who actualy did nothing but cause chaos and use the system to try and push there own agendas and nights.

Plus I didn't have £7k of my own to spend so we all needed to chip in.

if your still lookin for an affordable amp that will power 2x 650 @ 8 ohms and u want the lights id go for the crown xti4000 theyr not too bad on the wallet and theyve got great features u can set em all up to sound however u want on a little screen they got on em and theyve got perfect sound mate. cant ever go wrong with crowns :D tho ive never tried the ones your on about mate but ive helped some boys out who have had lots of other amps and i trust my crowns a lot more than theirs. good luck however you go mate need to keep the ol rigs goin out there. i heard everythings gotten worse in the uk partywise due to OB after that 1 BK party in yarmouth? thats the last one i went to while i was out there but thats what my friends ave been tellin me. hope u dont get any equipment taken :yakk:
