doubt it'll matter,
never really thought about it but they must do something to it anyway as I'm sure loads of people who donate are on all types of prescribed drugs?
they must maintain confidentuality so maybe ask them before?
or go ahead and if they decide they dont want it ..
good for you for donating anyway

i dont think it would make any differance what so ever , maby if i was sniffing billy in the car park before i went in to donate it would matter, but im not, so i think the chances of getting high off my blood is slim to nil

lol. I should give myself severe injuries more often... it would help my bank balance hehe. just kidding, lol
But seriously, I don't think it would be a good idea to donate. They say don't drink alcohol in the 24 hours before the donation, and it just so happens that it takes about 24 hours for your blood alcohol levels to get pretty much back to where they started. So, based on that, I wouldn't donate blood if u took something within 7 days or so of donating, since it usually takes 4-6 days for it to get out of your system, so just to be on the safe side, give it a week or so, in other words, donate at a later date.

You can't do that in Denmark..
They ask for a medical attest if you want to donate blood (and organs too)
If you take any kind of prescribed medicine, you can't donate anything :hopeless:
All blood get tested here too..
Maybe we have stricter rules in Denmark

Given the sheer number of recreational drug users in this country I would have thought if there were a problem with contaminated blood donations it would have become apparent by now.
The NHS online blood donor site, whilst asking some fairly searching lifestyle questions about injectable drug use and sexual habits, does not even mention non-injecting recreational drug use.
I am not a medical professional but I suspect that the health risks are more about blood borne diseases than drug residues (which may be eliminated or not cause a risk to patients due to the half lifes of the chemicals involved).

the percentage quantity of many party drugs in your blood stream is not going to effect a donor receiver
just ASK THE NURSE.. none of us have the medical expertise
The guideline questions on the blood tranfusion website ask if you have taken any tablets or medication in the last 7 days so I am guessing thats their preferred minimum period

Chances are, any contamination, will render the donation useless. All blood is screened for virus and diseases, this includes toxins, all drugs are toxins and can stay in ya for a lot longer than you think...You have to be drug free for 6+ WEEKS before the toxins have completely gone from your system...
It is possible that any blood donated in the past, will be of no use to anyone, dead or alive! Stop giving blood unless you are clean for 6+ weeks, no one is benefitting!....Apart from the fact, that it is good for the body to lose blood from time to time, as it boosts the immune system!!!!:bounce_fl

not in your blood as far as im aware. i thought it collected in your spinal fluid (this could be bolllocks that someone told me tho) which is somewhere they cant test as its extremely painful to stick a syringe there(i also thought it stayed there for life?).
All of your drug taking history is stored in you hair. So if you've not cut your hair since u were 18 it'll prob have your whole drug taking history in it. So if you want to join the navy/raf/airforce etc best shave you head!
