pretty damn cool

the man was a laugh... most of the time!

i saw a some bootleg recording of him live in Chicago where he has obviously had a very bad week or something and was on the verge of cracking up :omg:

he just abused the audience until his contractual hour was up, shouting things like

"hitler didn't go far enough! bring on total annihilation! the experiment has failed! every last useless cunt should die!"

and at one woman who heckled him

"i have just felt myself filled with a sense of sweet release, knowing that i am gonna put the cold steel of my gun in your mouth and blow your fucking brains out. tomorrow, no one will know quite why, but children will be flying little kites and everyone will have a feeling that the world is somehow a better place than it was today. all because that one stupid fat drunken bitch is dead."

no-one was laughing

not nice to see a man put himself under that much strain

but, yeah, as a rule, the man was good to listen to get his POV across

Bill Hicks died,if memory serves,in '94...i only remember him doing a show in the 'Burg in '92-ish as i was living in Edinburgh at the time as a student. Two of my mates worked in the local radio station and were meant to get a load of free tickets...it turned out they only got a ticket each,as demand was through the roof,so i didnt get to go.
I was gutted
I could well be wrong, but i dont remember him playing anywhere in Scotland after that Edinburgh gig.
The man's a genius, ive got one of his shows on video from the Montreal Comedy Festival,i dont remember the name of the vid offhand, its one of the official ones. But he's on top form.
I love they way he would do a gag or two, then do a gag that references an earlier one,and pretty soon everything in the show seems to be linked.

hence i pointed out in the last post it was die to my dads love for the guy i saw him....much in the same way my dad met the beatles....aged 3 or something. probably should have made that clear but "i went with my dad because he really liked him an i kept crying when left with someone i didn't know" doesnt sound as cool (i was a rather strange baby)
