... give up sex or free parties, what would you choose?

... and we're talking celibacy here....

Strange coincidence you should ask, as it's something I've been thinking about. Not quite celibacy, but if someone you were in a relationship with gave you an ultimatum-Parties, drugs etc or staying together... I choose partying everytime

Although they say opposties attract, I think it's really important to have common interests with the person your with, anyone who gave me that type of ultimatum... or any kind of ultimatum in fact... wouldn't be the type of person I would want to be with

I agree with you, parties all the way

I agree ultimatums dont work in my opinion

Mr Tank not into dancing the night away in fields so when I get the chance I go without him,
as he has come occasionally but its clear he doesnt really enjoy

There are loads of other stuff we do - festies with shared musical interests, scooter rallys, gigs etc

IMO it's good to have some separate interests as it gives you space to do different things. Free Parties seem to have a bad rep though, so people look down on you a bit. I possibly subconsiously ended up with my partner precisely because she is not into it. I made it clear at the start what I was into and I would be dissapearing for a few weekends a year. I personally find it easier to cope with a party situation with good mates rather than someone I live with especially if they have a bad drug experience, or they get jealous (why are you lookin at her) and all that shit.

This way I go off do my thing, come back on best behaviour and its a win/win situation. We go and do common interest things together, and I give her the space to do other things she likes, without having to drag me along. As long as we trust each other it enhances the relationship. Part of the problem for me is that festivals are associated with drug use so it's an easy target when she gets stroppy.

Sex. Recently split up with the missus, but, to be honest, my judgement might be clouded as I've not got it on tap anymore...

Actually, no. I couldn't choose. It's like drugs and sex. Nah, fuck it, still sex... I can still listen to the music and dance in my house or with people, but just not at a free party... Haha. Got round that one on a technicality. Result!

hmmm, i've read the other replies, it's true you could quit parties, dance around your own front room and keep the sex, but being single i could 'please myself' and still go to the parties - win/win

I like sex, don't get me wrong, but I think it is way overrated and a total western civilization obsession.

I hate the whole idea of relationships now... all they are are close friendships with added sex and added shit (possesiveness, jealousy, control, seriousness, etc)... I'd rather just have loads of ultra close friendships and have fun - if attraction occurs in any, sex will happen... as sex should be fun, and not so serious as lots of people make out... but I no longer believe in committing to one person.

If the occasion occured where I DID get involved in a relationship, I would make sure I got with someone on a similar thinking level as me. There's no way ANYONE would tell me when I can and when I can't party, as life is supposed to be fun.. and if a relationship drains the fun (as many do), then what's the point??

I'd choose partying every time.

if you give up free partys, can you still go clubbing ^^

meh sex is a bit warped nowadays, too much of a club and too little a matter between 2 consenting adults ^^

should have both always....

i have a bloke who has probably spent more time at parties than i have but he always wants to get home to curl up at about 6 am...thats my favourite time of the morning to be at a party and i prefer to leave later on so that sometimes causes aggy behaviour!!!
