I thought it cost you to recieve calls when abroad, the person calling you from the UK would still pay their normal rates :biggreen:

Not sure about that..I got a HUGE bill when I got home..:omg::omg:

But my phone is registered in Denmark so that might be why?

in most cases if you take your mobile phone to a foreign country, you first need to tell your mobile operator you are doing this so it will work across borders.

it will then sign on to one of the local networks there.

people in your home country pay their normal rates to call you -but you are charged for the "roamed" part of the conversation from your home countries network to the country you are in.

This can be expensive - €0.50 - €1.50 per minute depending on your contract!

Dialling out is also expensive unless you have some special contract deals, and in some cases you need to remember to dial the full international number or you will end up calling some random in the local country rather than your friends back home!
