Ketamine Anyone?

I got this card delivered through my post box the other day...

What I want to know is, if Ketamine is a problem in my area, why can't I get hold of any? If it makes coppers glow like they do in the picture, I want some!!

even if you can't get in in your town there is loads all across avon and somerset force area, for obvious reasons I'm not going to say any more on a public forum..

its very popular these days especially as people find they cane MDMA and amfet too much and can't handle the comedowns - initially the rebound from ket isn't so bad (to the point where it can become a weekday drug for some people!)

if you can't find it its probably because you don't want to get involved with dealing networks that are probably the same age as your sixth form pupils...

The trigger for the cops doing this is young people in this region doing so much (often along with alcohol) that they spoon out in public places and the Ambulance Service as well as the rest of the NHS have to pick up the pieces, often requiring Police backup because some angry kid is lashing out (or at least attempting to) at anyone with a uniform...

I suspect the "psychedelic bobby" image is in part to "engage with da yoof" but also to protect the identities of the cops, even though they are not showing their faces a real photo would give a better idea of their side profiles, the ethnicity of the two officers etc.. if they were your local bobbies it would be easy enough to recognise them I guess.

Ketamine is a nice little earner for a lot of people these days particularly in smaller communities like villages where there is fuck all for youths to do apart from snort wonk.

Some dealers (who have hitherto felt they are untouchable) are liable to get angry when the authorities start clamping down - the two cops pictured probably don't (quite understandably) want to be personally associated with the crackdown.

TBH the authorities have backed themselves into a corner as far as ketamine is concerned

they couldn't just ignore it due to the mounting health/social problems - but if they were to reclassify it as anything higher than class C, this countries drug culture is so strong that those dealers determined to take the risks may well return to selling more amfet or pills as the risk of profit versus penalties would be the same....

so true, i think when a teenager has a feeling that theres something they might want to do, they'll ignor any negatives someone tells them and do it anyway until they learn their lesson the hard way. i know thats how its worked in the past for me... and still does in fact...

exactly. I think though there is a lot of peer pressure to take it though at raves because its less risk for the people who want to make money out of selling drugs - and that isn't wholly good for anyone.

its not so much what you do but how and how much you do it..

the problem with K is that although it is fun in small amounts (and I occasionally do it) its so easy to K-hole without actually wanting to - then your mates often have to look after you, or you could hurt yourself without realising it (it doesn't hurt until the comedown)

if you are actually putting on parties it wholly fucks over your organisational skills as well when you need it most (particularly sense of time and direction..)

OTOH when pills/amfet/MDMA was more popular 6-7 years ago people were tanning loads and eventually fucking their minds and bodies over on the comedowns/depression..

I've heard that term a few times before and TBH its not too far wide of the mark - I have done it occasionaly myself (more when I lived in my old city)

I can understand why people say "it opens your mind as the "psychedelic" side of it can increase your thought patterns.. but it can become a very insular form of creativity/mental awareness which doesn't always fit in with parties - plus it doesn't agree with my insides.

Since moving and partying away from the city areas I've wholly gone off it as these days I want energy and to overcome my innate shyness and be able to chat to people and to explore, so other ways of enhancing my senses appeal to me more

Also I've noticed that the way that ket can take over peoples lives if they are not careful is fucking frightening....
