right ... i probably shouldnt of gone off Dr B's thread of dj's talking so heres my own ...

im in discussions with radio managment :wink: about a psy show, there isnt a lot of psy on p.v and although ive only been here for a few months i believe it would go down well and kind of feel not a lot of people have heard this amazing, pretty much unheard genre. (that doesnt mean i want to make it big now does it!:wink: )

id like to no if people would ..

1.) even like to hear psy

and

2.) like to hear me talking (for the show i want to do this is essential)

i want to do a three hour slot ...

first hour - psy and new releases ...

second hour - peoples own mixes and/or a dj/live act guest

third hour - me mixing psy, from soft to hard and slow to fast!

let me know ...

yep, its something called "Meta tags" (I am unsure of the exact terminology) which you set in your shoutcast software. Its always a good thing to make something appear in the player display (rather than the default "+" sign) anyway.

Raj, GoodDog, SdZ or Biotech should be able to explain which settings to use to make this happen.

the world has many many djs, but individuality and being unique is now something thats hard to find ... basically dont play hardcore and find music that makes ya happy bro, thats what its all about.

thats a tough one, if possible i'd like to not stick to one genre at all... i'm into me acid techno, psytrance, drum n bass, oldskool, and a bit acid house so maybe whatever takes me fancy on the night, i'm not too sure yet :groucho:

i dunno what would be easiest to start DJ'ing on... i woulda imagined techno, maybe wrong though! havin said that a challenge is always good :weee:

just to clarify if any techno DJ is reading this... i mean start on, for me personally (mainly 'cos i have a big enough collection of techno tunes!) :wink: i'm sure it's not easy to DJ properly and well!

yeah there is a huge "cool" factor to being called a DJ among a lotta people... i'd prefer an original more artist-style name tbh...

i couldn't think of another 2 words that so literally describe what a DJ does other than disc jockey... but although i haven't learned yet, the idea of being able to express myself through music and get the tunes across to people and i dunno, provide music for people to listen to... very appealin imo. hopefully someday i'll produce some tracks too, that'd be my ultimate goal - and hearin them bein played by another DJ would be amazin raaa
