How much does that mean to you when you buy clothes? Does a name guarantee you a better quality?

Well, i do like to look good when i go out in to town or something, but i will only shop from super markets like asda or tesco as you can get plenty decent stuff for a good price. Oh yeah an primark good stuff to.

yep - tend to do that as well (JJB got a special offer at the moment). Mind you this is probably why I am often mistaken for a youth about half my real age or in my early 20s as most (not that I am complaining about this) :laugh_at:

I only really buy what I like the look of and don't follow fashion at all but I suppose to a small extent I'm influenced by it without realising.

I rarely spend much on clothing etc but for most things it makes no difference to me what the label is. For certain things I do buy because of the name though because I know it will be better quality, eg Merrells for footwear and Oakley's for sunglasses (although I've only ever bought one pair of these... I'm not loaded!)

I really cant see how peolpe can spend nearly 160 quid(as a mate has done before) on a pair of jeans. just cant justify it.

i do shop at primark (mainly for work clothes) and while i find the prices good i do find buttons come off zips stop working etc

Everyone is really, just not enrirely noticable.

It depends on what level you mean by "fasion" there's alot to it..

I'd pretty much say I just get whatever I like, I buy alot from charity shops and customise. But obviously there are parts of certian fashions that people will be drawn to on a mostly subconcious level, perhaps by undelying connections like lifestyle asociations and such. And most people are influenced a great deal by their freinds even if they don't know it/won't admit it.

its all about the 2nd hand, and stealing clothes from people.

doesnt neccesarily mean they have to look bad.

ive been rockin the same look for years, t shirt and jeans. cant go wrong. so long as its practicle. i cant stand it when fashion outways practicality whats the point in that? a decent pair of boots is always good too.

You've got to laugh when you hear people say "these shoes really hurt my feet" and you ask why they wear them and it's because "they look good".

I'm sorry girls, but you are the worst culprit for this.

I don't actually know. I've had one myself for years though and used to wear it a fair bit. I know lots of others who did/do too so you could well be right.

yep - thats definitely the sort of hat I mean...

most popular around 1991-2 but I think people have started wearing them again recently..

people even wore them in Reading (there is a place called Jacksons there which is like "are you being served" where you can buy such items)..
