hello everyone im going on holiday to norfolk in a few months wheres the best place to go for massive raves because i aint been to a rave yet and i dont want my first rave to be small or in a shitty club i want it outside with thousands of like minded ravers like myself with the music fresh and stomping any help please peace love and unity howie :biggreen:

howie - Norfolk is a huge place; about 1.5 times the size of Essex.

Most unlicensed parties happen in more remote areas so you will need a friend with a car to get you to these places and have good local knowledge- if you didn't pay attention in geography class in high school now is the time to learn how to read a map!

if you are going on holiday in the next few months its gonna be winter, and there aren't as many warehouse parties now because the warehouses are either still in use/guarded or too near to residential areas. Outdoor parties in winter need to be in some sort of building; and most farmers guard their barns now - understandably, they don't want their winter stores stomped on!

You might be able to get to some hall parties but they aren't that big and close down quite early. There might be some reasonable club events but you may have to convince the door staff there you are 18.

How you do this is up to you, its been a while since I used a fake ID and nowadays if I did need one I'd be more likely to take years offit than add them!

Sorry I can't be of more help - but I know what you're going through as it was the situation I was in at the start of the acid house days in 1988; and there wasn't any public internet back then. I was collecting all the records etc but it was actually about 2 years after that before I got to my first "real" raves; I moved to London and some people I met in college sorted me out with the info.

One thing I would also suggest you do though is read through our drugs forum and if you do take or decide to do drugs remember there are limits to what your mind and body can handle.

A lot of my friends who started in their teens went through very bad stages in their lives from overdoing it and many gave up raving altogether a few years later...

the private message facility on here is as safe as your ISPs normal email system.

It can potentially be monitored using advanced technology or if someones computer is seized and the boffins know what to look for; but this won't normally happen unless someone is wanted for serious crime (such as violence, murder or big time dealing).
