religion is all effed up now---but I think in teh bgininng it was set up as a system of beleifs which were meant to help people during emotional times in life ( such as when relatives die--etc etc)

Every religion ( not just Christianity)has many interesting stories which are actuallyMETAPHORS and therefore should never be taken literally.
