1. no, this shit is not happening as frequently or at all in most other places.

And the feds even gave one olive branch and said they would be prepared to accept outdoor events on TENS license (£21 for 500 people) if they were organised well - Planet Yes have already done this and some other crews are planning the same.

I think they are being stubborn, and think that what they are doing is some sort of act of war with the coppers. They think that this is the way to resolve the problem.

Tbh it goes deeper than that. This lot who still go out all the time are all the younger crews. They've grown up over the last few years going partying, and don't really know anything else! As there's fuck all to do in most of Norfolk, you can see why they keep trying. (also the BK fuk the system shit doesn't help.)

its been a really goodstart to the year as far as ive seen, with some well organised parties. and ive seen nothing but cooperation with the old bill, who, apart from at one party, have simply arranged a time to pack up.

Unfortunately this also means people in authority have learned exactly how to deal with this.

The religious lot (particularly Church of England) are also fighting back and
fighting hard, although in a more subtle way (such as the god squad taking an interest in "saving" burned-out drug users).

Even many of all the responsible people fucked up on drugs round here and also in SE England. Thats whats added to the backlash. I've also seen people many years my junior turn from fluffy fun loving ravers to bitter reactionaries in just a couple years, blaming society/immigrants/babylon for their lives fucking up rather than not being able to self-regulate.
