yes it was. This incident happened in the region where I previously lived.

It took two whole years for the case to reach Court (during which all the kit seized remained in storage) and although the equipment was returnned (having been stored in damp conditions and treated rather roughly by the cops) one person from each crew got fined £2,000 each for the unlicensed event (a total of £16,000 in fines).

I think that they are expected to cough up this money by the end of the year or get the usual non-payment warrants put out for them...

be aware thats the same cops you are gonna be dealing with if you do parties in Thames Valley!

they used more resource for that than the Womad or the Reading Festival (cops actually treat festivals in the same way as if there was a terrorist invasion)

Incidentally I recognise many of the faces on that video (and even some of the cops, they are all the local ones from that part of TVP who usually get sent to deal with raves and were clearly getting revenge as they had been forced to retreat at the Ridgeway earlier that year).

a bit worrying as I am fairly sure its one of my old mates what filmed it.... then again although it was a reprisal for the cops being made to retreat earlier that year, and a lot of venues getting rinsed in that area week after week..

wasn't just cops what brought it on top, many locals were fucking furious that so many raves were happening in the Thames Valley area..
