Boom Festival 2010

I would love to go next year but certainly can't. Booh! Anyone else here going? I see the following announcement was recently posted on their web site about limited ticket numbers...

Quote:
No more than 26 000 people will attend Boom Festival 2010. No more tickets, as we don’t want to become an overcrowded and mainstream festival. We are already planning better infrastructures for the comfort of all the Boomers, where space and cosiness will be felt.

We’ll upgrade our music and art program, line ups will be released sooner than in previous years, and we’ll emphasize new facilities on the sanitary and ecological level. Ways of dealing with the entrance is another concern we are faced with and which we are now thinking about how to improve so that people don’t have to wait for so long to get in.

Similarly to some of you, we felt some of the magic lost due to overcrowding and we are working towards the revival of the spirit that was always felt at Boom… Keep updated through the Boom website.

Tickets out soon :) I'd love to go but am worrying about not being able to get the time off as it's so far in advance and also whether I can stand the heat! Even Ozora was hot enough last year! It will be awesome though...

That's a shame, I don't think it will cost too much really - about £120 for ticket and the cheapest flight from Manchester to Lisbon is £155 at the moment on expedia, and it will be cheaper if you fly from London.

I just found out that someone at my bf's work has already booked the dates off work! So unless they sort something out we can't go This is the same reason we couldn't go in 2008, I think it's really unfair that the other dude books his holiday so far in advance even when he hasn't got flights or a hotel etc!

It is pretty advance, it's 10 months away! We only just decided on going.. the tickets aren't even out yet.

It was unfair as the guy books those weeks every single year without fail even if he doesn't know where his is going yet, so he is usually the only one who ever gets to go on holiday on those weeks of august, prime time when most people would want to go on holiday. But is fine now anyway - he has agreed to change his plan for once! Yay! We are going :D
