chat room

Has our chat room ever been a problem for you? I've had reports of people on slow pcs having trouble streaming the radio and I'm considering a replacement so let me know...

Thanks!

could the mods have a "clear chatroom history" button or wiping the current page? occasionally either spam links get posted up there or too much party info talked about. also we cant see who's lurking.

I acutally installed it at one stage a very long time ago but java wasn't very well established at the time and members complained about the prompts to allow the applet to run scaring them...

The benefits of PJIRC would be removing some load from the box although it's not much at all. It would also mean being able to chat through a regular IRC client (e.g: trillian or mirc) which is cool. And if party vibe were ever to go offline and I chose not to host an IRC daemon, members could carry on talking during outages which is also quite nice...
