SMS notifications

I'm testing a new feature where you can list a mobile phone number against your forum user profile and be notified of new private messages or receive SMS directly from other members. Numbers will be kept private and for safety's sake the feature's only available to Staff and Subscribers for now at least. You'll find an explanation of how this works in your User Control Panel by following the link above and there's no charge for the functionality. If you have any problems post them in this thread...

Notice: Some providers require you to enable MMS for this to work. Try calling them for information about it (MMS) first before trying this...

Fine, let me know what happens. Some providers' messages tend to be delayed from what I'm reading...

Right some providers require you to activate MMS first. I'm looking up how that's done for you with Orange now...

I think you'll need to call an Orange operator and ask them for information on this, I can't find anything useful on their website...

It's all academic really; we will outgrow religion as we've outgrown our belief in goblins and dragons. One day we will just accept our mortality, and get on with the business of living.
