We get a lot of rain and wind on both sides of the North Sea....
but how come in Denmark and other nations the people there are more prepared to use this bad weather to generate electricity, whilst in England everyone moans about how the turbines and power stations and cables look ugly and they complain to the local Council (I think it is called the Tinget in Denmark) and often the British turbines don't get planning permission? we do have some turbines near where Biotech and Titch live, but the director of the company today said he was sad that many jobs had to go to foreign workers (actually in Denmark, Germany and Netherlands) rather than British workers because there is not enough business to support the factories in England because of complaining people. So how does it work in Denmark? do people complain less, or does the government just tell them to STFU because the cleaner electricity is good for everyone and overrules one families argument a turbine doesn't look pretty? --- Seriantia que quondam fuit Rollandi le Pettour in Hemingeston in comitatu Suff’, pro qua debuit facere die Natali Domini singulis annis coram domino rege unum saltum et sifflettum et unum bumbulum. 15 cans of Adnams.. ![]() |

Think most people in Denmark is happy about the wind energy..
A few complains comes from people close to where they build the "wind-farms" because of the noise. Denmark isn't a huge place with a lot of free areas, we are however building wind-farms on the sea, where they are to less gene for people.. but all in all i think we like it, it gives us work all over the world and I think it's good for the danish economy.. Can only talk for myself, but it makes me a bit proud to be Dane too ![]() In 2002, Jean Michelle Jarre had a big concert in the wind-farm only 2 miles from where I lived at that point, was a huge experience ![]() Jarre_Gl_Vraa_2002 ![]() |

Complain about noise my ass, every city has a footy ground which goes nuts once a week and fills the place with abusive chanting... but if you get the sound of free energy and something of worth to the planet, people whine? Yeh nice. I think the snobby population of brits are just suicidal and need to find a way to take the planet out with them while they keep their property value as high as possible.
