Eating Habits: Vegetarians Vegeans & Carnivores?

I'm still eating fish and chicken, no red meat though. I was a vegetarian for about 2 years starting when I was 14. I've got back into eating meat but now am weening off again because it just seems like adverse effects of meat (esspecialley red) makes it not really worth it. Even if it's pretty damn tatsey.

Red face

I'm just fussy I guess

I live on cheese and tomatoes

I eat fish but not 'meat' as I just dont like the texture of 'meat',
if the fish is too 'meaty' I dont like that either - if that makes sense....... ?? for 19 yrs

I dont like slimey veg either - i.e- corgettes, mushies, aubergine etc as it makes me gag

Last Night was an A1, tip-top, clubbing, jam fair. It was a sandwich of fun, on ecstasy bread, wrapped up in a big bag like disco fudge. It doesn't get much better than that. I just wish that I could control these *fucking mood swings!*

Adverse effects from eating meat??

If I was told I couldn't eat meat again my world would come to an end!!

I suppose I'd call my self a responsible meat eater. I only eat meat once or twice a week. I really should eat more fruit and veg though.

My husband is veggie. I enjoy the challenge of vegetarian cooking, you need to be a bit more inventive. Personally I would be very sad to never eat a beautiful rack of lamb again. *drool*

I do think people eat too much meat though, it is not sustainable, a diet of mostly vegetables and grains is the way forward.

I don't count myself as vegetarian, but very rarely eat meat or fish these days, too much bother to cook.

yea if you're going to eat less meat it's essential to make up for it with the fruits and veggies.

I quite like meat as some of you may have already discovered .

I was however vegitarian for the best part of 16 years and it made me horribly ill and I used to have to eat tons of supplements. I think the best way to eat is to make sure that what ever you eat is of the best quality.

I am a bit of a freak in shops I stand and sniff tomatoes to check they are good quality and poke and squeeze bit of meat to see the juices. If I go to a butchers I quite often eat bits of beef raw to test the quality and as mad as this may sound it means that I only get good quality food and it rarely disagrees with me. I can eat a whole roast beef or half a kilo of good cheese and have no adverse reaction but give me 4 slices of shitty bacon and I feel grim.

Anyway what I should have said rather than ramble is eat good food and when it comes to eating ethics are bullshit. There is no such thing as ethical food in this world as everything supports the cash crop economy,w which is responsible for the deaths of millions who can't afford and the degradation of the worlds soil.

I refuse to eat from any establishment that constantly smells the same.

Every subway in the world smells the same so I've never had one.
