Is It Illegal to Record Somebody's Voice Without Their Consent?
I recorded a meeting earlier because I knew the people concerned were trying to lie thier way out of a situation, one happened to be an ex copper.
They said what I know they deny when later asked so it served its purpose. Hopefully it wont come to using the tape to back me up and the facts will stand for them selves when their supperiors get onto them. But was it illegal to record the interview? I didn't tell them btw |

I'm not a legal expert but I'm fairly certain that its OK provided its not done to harrass anybody or misrepresent them (these are separate crimes in themselves), and is accepted if there is a "greater good" to society (or even a private organisation) by using the recording to expose wrongdoing.
