last time I got cautioned I was "advised" to get in touch with some drugs help place (the cops gave me a leaflet) but there was no condition attached that I had to go for one. Couldn't see the point TBH; it wasn't exactly addiction, or even problematic drug use - just me being careless about stashing things when there were random stop checks..

I later used the leaflet to make a wrap out of.

Yeah I think that was what it was - it doesnt appear on my record for police checks but is marked up on my record and next time round I wont get the option - and yeah I had to go as the place was obliged to tell the police whgether or not I had - this was in 2001 or 2002 and at the time I was lucky in that it was a trial scheme in a couple of areas in the country before being rolled out across the country - it may have been changed slightly since then when it was introduced properly but at the time that was how it went.

Yeah it was proper pointless for the offence committed - it was only possession of pills in a club - just got picked out of crowd leathered and bouncers were nobheads as wouldn't tell them where i got them from and point out my dealer - mainly as hadnt even scored them in there - but as oi wouldn't cooperate they called in the ole bill.

In truth though did do me some good chatting to a drugs councillor - at time had a bit of a coke habit developing and
though it made no difference and my habit continued to grow he did manage to make me stop and think about it a bit, and some of the stuff he said has stuck with me in hindsight - pointless as it sweemed at the time.

I had luck more than a couple of time...

The only time I was really arrested was because of a police mistake...We were in south of france, driving peacefully with two friends, crossed a police(gendarmerie exactly) patrol on a little road. One kilometer or two ,just after a cross road, their car was in the middle of the road, and the 3 guys had 2 hand guns and one shotgun pointed at our car!!!!The driver broke and we were really scared, when one of them shouted:"don't move, get out of the car!!!"....but how to get out without moving?!!

The second guy told us to get out,and we done it very slowly, they looked determinated to shoot us if something looked strange.Once we had the hands on the roof, they put us the handcuffs, and looked almost everywhere.I was more and more worry...They seemed to calm down after looking at our IDs,and checked the car papers with their computer:in fact, they just made an error typing the car number and thougt it was stolen,as they told us after...And they seriously apologized, before leting us going...

What they will never know,is that badly hidden in the car was a (good and)certain amount of different illegal substances(fear and loathing in LA,in a french style) we had with for the summer...I swear I dind'nt piss on myself, but it was really close...

Had a thought actually last night - been arrested by British Transpory Police too - for smoking on public transport and foul and abusive behaviour on public transport - just took a statement, issued a £50 fine and threw us off the train though so not sure it really counts as being arrested.

not sure i have had a few visits and bin in the back of a car, to take me 200 yards down the road to my house for having a fire on the green. but they did say that i would get a cautionfor criminal damage. E.g. i cut some strings on a hay bail. pretty pointless really and not really an arrest.

in most jurisdictions cops need to tell you you are under arrest and what the crime is... but its not uncommon to be "de-arrested" and let free without being taken to the Police Station if there isn't enough evidence or the cops just decide to scare you and give you a warning rather than do all the paperwork - this often happens if its a minor crime.

Cool

Ive been arrested a few times and charged 3 times, The major charge for me was when my dad pressed charges on me for breaking into my own house when he forgot to tell me he was going to be away for a week, then I stole his car with some mates (car was open with keys in it) then we saw some lil bitches we didnt like so I chased them in the car and they said I tried to kill them so it was also a attempted murder, I pleaded guilty to the BnE and the GTA but not for the attempted murder. Went to court, got away with the attempted murder cuz my mates said we didnt do it, and got 5months in a detention centre, 3year good behaviour bond (still on it) and a cerfew which was originally 11pm but has now dropped to 8.30pm.
Luckily for me.. much more shit I havent been caught for.

Digital-A, If the law about riots over where you are is the same where I am, Then the cops have are allowed to grab anyone on the street as a riot and charge and take to the station for questioning. So it doesnt really matter to them whether your in it or not because its one less person out the crowd, But yea. Least you were let go once they realised you werent in the wrong or anything.

Yes but the charges was let go as my mate at the time wouldn't own up to it, but then when all 5 of us got arrested and taken to the cells he owned up.

I have never broken law, in a know way....... well

its harsher for younger people (<17) as the govt wants to have more control over them.

luckily I was a bit older before I was unlucky enough to get caught for anythin - it must be even more shit when your parents have to go to the police station

Some areas even notify your school/college that you are a "criminal" and it is stored in your education department file as well

Arrested three times charged once...got charged for the worst crime though, luckly my barrister kept me out of jail though, 200 hours CS......FUN!!! The worst part, except standing in crown court waiting for the verdict, was - 7 hours in a police cell rattling my arse off and not knowing whats going on and whether I was being charged!

I'm a good girl now though, well either that or I'm just better at not getting caught!!!!
