Needless to say i was livid, luckily though i wasn't charged and was released with a stern lecture about taking the law into my own hands. But as i explained to them itwas all caught on camera several witnesses saw them stealing and a copper could have jogged to my place in about two minutes. I wouldn't have taken the law in to ,y own hands if they werent such lazy useless fucking twats. Oh and i got a £60 fine for disorderly conduct on saturday as well for breaking up a fight outside my bar. Go figure.

i got a caution when i was about 13/14 and they took our mug shots and prints. apparently they would only be kept on file for so long but i reckon they keep the info on file somewhere?

also had an absolute discharge for a TOY! flick knife thingy i had in my fishing tackle box the rozzers found when we were searched(we were smoking it up they came down car stank search carried out).
again this was not suposed to go on file but again i think there must still be details of this

no. but once, when i was climbing on the primary school roof with some friends, some men came out and got pissed off so we came down and walked down the road. a few minutes later a police car came by, and the turned back and drove up to us. we ran away but to this day i dont know why it came up to us a) because the twats who saw us on the roof called the police (unlikely) b) because one of us who was blatantly underage had a can of beer or c) it was a coincidence that it came towards us. yeh anyway that was my long and boring story

Ionce got away from getting nicked by setting my crotch on fire. Hurt like fuck but no one wants to touch a man whose on fire. So I magaged to leg it then drop and roll.

Moral of the story....

don't set your crotch on fire.

No lasting damage but obviously I can't go too deep into the story.

Bet you've got one of those lovely notes on your record that says such things as

"check for drugs"

I'm lucky enough to get the check for drugs and "known activist approach with caution", even though I have no convictions for anything so far.

Also I have only been involved in NVDA (non violent direct action) and therefore they have no reason to be alarmed.

I think nearly all of us from the UK rave scene have got a "Delta Romeo" (drugs warning) marker . You don't actually need to be nicked to get a PNC record, if you make a complaint against the cops you get one as well and there is also a local database at each police force which just being at a rave will get you (and your car if you own one) indexed on.

Cops have always kept an eye on activists (violent or not) - way back in the 80s, in fact it was worse surveillance back then as there was no comeback against it or "freedom of information" - cops could do what they wanted.

There are lists of PNC markers on google (apparently they have been declassified anyway by the Home Office since the cops have got radios you can't scan any more), the codes used by individual forces vary but the are things like

drugs, violence, firearms, contagious diseases, suicidal, mental health problems , has made a complaint against the police, involved in political activism, prolific young offender etc...

Wink Hmm...

Well, seeing as you asked so nicely.
It was a dark and stormy night...actually, it was just a regular ball-freezing December day in the Fens when the Filth came round and nicked me for importing a half kg of weed. Young and naive. DNA sample (damn), slap on the wrist and a 250 pound fine though, so it was all good. Ish.
'Naughty boy, nah doan yew dooda gen!Promise!'
'Yeah, alright.'
Even gave me a choice of breakfasts. Amazing.
The other time me and my mates were protesting for the legalisation on the steps of City Hall and there was a bit of riot, tear gas, 5-star entertainment, all that. Got thrown in jail for 11 hours (and it goes without saying that in a South African jail they don't offer you a choice of brekkie), had my teeth kicked in, thanks officer, and charged with possession (which was planted) and illegal gathering. Assholes never made it to court when I contested, so the judge chucked it.

Been questioned once re. an assault but wasn't arrested or charged as had a water tight alibi as had filled in a register at college stating i was there at the time of the offence (no comment as to whether or not I was!) and been arrested for possession of class A's - was given a warning and one hour drugs rehab session I had to attend - was given the choice of that or a caution and chose the rehab - won't get given that chance again though so v. v. careful these days!!!

hmm - did you get one of those new "conditional cautions?"

last time I got cautioned I was "advised" to get in touch with some drugs help place (the cops gave me a leaflet) but there was no condition attached that I had to go for one. Couldn't see the point TBH; it wasn't exactly addiction, or even problematic drug use - just me being careless about stashing things when there were random stop checks..

I later used the leaflet to make a wrap out of.
