i came up with this name years ago, wanted to make a login name that just said "mash" then didnt notice that i wasnt in the actual login typed in my password which had "vie" at the end, voila, Mashvie and since noone seems to use it, it comes in pretty useful :D

My name's Dave & I used to wear this trilby type hat - used to me more into RAWK music then too. Got the nickname & it stuck (unlike the hat which I lost). I do still have a coupe of hats, but not the original *sob* ;)
Actually lost it while having some 'fun' with me girly (at the time) on the seafront - it blew off into the sea & I never saw it again *double sob*

gutted i used to have this amazing rasta hat that i got from a friend who'd been to jamaica which i left on a train....i realised that id taken my hat off to get my stash out of it and skin up on the train an forgotten so i turned to watch the doors close an my hat head to dalgetty bay or something. gutting

yea i used to have a straw cowboy hat (not as gay as it sounds) that i wore out. some one sat on it, so i put it in the fire when fucked at a free party...

..i read some ludwig wittgenstein recently, and one of his principles is "dont ask for the meaning, ask for the use" which i wish was the reason behind my name, coz i think its a wicked sentement.

Blimey - that's wierd you mentioning him.. was playing a game round a friends the other day & I thought of him as an answer to a question - then remembered he's a philosopher not an artist & now this is the 3rd day running his name has cropped up - & I really don't move in the circles that would mention him every day - spooky

Well, I run a political blog site http://www.parrotboy.co.uk (plug plug plug) which started off as a column for a mates site. I needed an alias to write under and picked ParrotBoy because, as with most writers when they start out, I was just regurgitating things other people said.

I've moved on from there now, but the name's stuck, despite the fact it gives people the impression I'm younger than I am! I like it tho, and I've got a cool little parrot made in illustrator who will soon by decorating my sites pages :)
