Manchester party crew?

Hi all,

I've just relocated to halls of residence in Salford to study acoustics... and I wanna know where the party is at!!

I've heard that Sankey's is good... but it would be cool if there was some proper parties going on around here somewhere...

Any PV crew in the area?

i'm in manchester for uni too - i think there's quite a few good nights but they need hunting out, depending what you're into. there's LOADS of dubstep/dnb/house/electro nights though so you'll be ok if you're into the more mainstream sorta nights :)

Well there's mainstream dubstep and then there's good dubstep ;) but i'm more into my techno/ breakbeat/ hard jungle. ThoughI like a bit of house & electro aswell...

So have you been here for a while? If so, where have you had your best nights out?

i think there's some jungle nights at saki bar - they had congo natty playing last year. there was some techno nights are joshua brookes too but they were a bit dearer.

there's always warehouse project an all but it's quite expensive. i'm keeping an eye out for gash collective nights out personally. if you like dubstep though you'll be fiiine. keep watching the umdb stuff as well i fink.

Yeah I think I'm definitely going to end up at the warehouse project one night... Aphex Twin is playing there on October 2nd!

I've tried searching for gash collective on fb but with no luck (maybe you could let me know if there's anything happening on that front ?)... really wanted to go to 'oh my god' at opus last friday (jungle/dubstep) but all my mates flaked out on me and, having only been here a week, I decided I couldn't be arsed to go on my own...

i'm goin to the aphex twin warehouse project with some mates, and spark_plug might be coming to see me on the sat.

yerr, oh my god and hit & run are meant to be alright, but they're catered for students which, in spite of being a hypocrit, means it'll probably annoy me. i went to riot jazz last week which was a bit of dub step, but mainly hip hop and aggressive jazz - it was gooood.

i think gash hire out their system a lot so keep an eye out. there's a night comin up to celebrate Strange Daze's birthday with full lotus and shitmat playing in a few weeks. come to that if you like underground nights i reckon :)
