What to do in LONDON? RAVES, UNDERGROUND parties, FREE parties, SQUAT parties???

Hello
I am visiting London from New york city and staying in camden at the moment, but able to travel, all ive got is a pack so I am very mobile. I am 22 year old chick from NYC. I am looking to find underground parties. I went to a "rave" last night, but it was all overaged, preppy people. I walked in and walked out. It was very dissappointing. I am dying to go to a real party, one that is raw and dirty. Please hit me up if you have any info, or just wanna chill/party with. Im looking to meet some cool people here, everyone staying at the hostel I am at is the bar/club/mainstream type. My face book is: facebook.com/missvicious666 Either shoot me an email there or send an email to marilisa1@mac.com Thanks!!!

Thanks for the tips. It just gets pretty lonely when you are new to a place and dont know anyone. There was some warehouse party i wanted to go to last week, but was advised to not go to those alone. :( Ended up at an outlaw though which was pretty sweet.

Sweet, I heard about glade and have been told I must go. The only thing is its just another electronic music festival and I wanted to experience something different. In nyc our scene used to be very much alive, warehouse parties and outlaws ( you guys call outlaws free parties) Now it is impossible to do any free parties i heard the scene out here is still very much alive and wanted to check it out. My goal was go to an outlaw in the woods or field, go to a london squat party, go to a dutch hardcore festival in holland, and go to a rock festival. I went to download, and ive been to 2 free parties which were sick. I may save holland for another time because I am running out of money. anyways, i appreciate all the feedback.. Have you guys ever heard of burning man?? It is the most amazing experience, nothing can compare. Its music and art and a community. Soooo hard to explain its so much more than a festival. You are even able to get a free ticket. it is a week long in the middle of nowhere. check it out: burningman.com

no worries you didnt offend me! its all about being outside at this time of year, was at this warehouse party a few weeks ago and it was really good, but as soon as we stepped outside into the sunshine, it felt amazing.

Too true.......gotta make the most of the English summer....Wharehouse paries can be quality but as Dionysus states above "all about being outside this time of year" the heat seems to send everyone mental.....GOOD SHIT!!!

sounds like its gonna be a good one!
"In addition to the belting line-up, Glade Festival will also be unveiling two new areas at this year’s event. First up is the Carmaggedon area – a post apocalypse space which will house multiple venues hosted by Breaksday, Overkill, NSB.co.uk (formerly Nu Skool Breaks) and Cool & Deadly (hosted by Fabric dubsteppers Dublime and Kiss’ Jay Cunning). The area will also feature mind bending art from Nevada’s Burning Man Festival, the scrap yard regeneration creations of the Mutoid Waste Company and the twisted cabaret of the Interstella Circus".
