what is oxycodone? a friend of mine got it from the doctor, and it feels better then getting drunk...anyone wanna help me out with what its supposed to do and a little bit of history on it for me please? what is the limit for taking perscribed 400mg. of this stuff?

it is an opiate based drug and can be habit forming - its from the same family of drugs as heroin. some heroin addicts do this stuff as well when they can't get street gear

it can be fatal at high doses or taken in conjunction with alcohol

in England people commit suicide with drugs like this

opiates might seem fun at the time but if you get hooked it is hell - and if you are found with this stuff in your bloodstream without a prescription there is no way you are going to get into that school in Europe - you don't want to fuck your life up at 15 because society is prepared to write you off as a junkie even then and its hard to get back on the right track

once you start liking stuff like this its easy to slide down the slope

oxycodone is shown as having a very short "half-life" (the time the level of drugs in your plasma (blood)) decays to half its value

it should be gone by now...

so pretty much it should take but like 4 days to get out of the blood stream...thats good then!

hate to double post but, how much oxy, can you take with alcohol? if you were to take any before or after the pill was taken? like, a sip of beer wouldnt kill you would it? and what is in the pill that releases "what?" in your body? oxycotin? and what does it do exactly for you body?

the pill releases the same chemicals as heroin and other opiates do in your body.

re alcohol - its not something I can easily answer (or would be comfortable about doing so) - everyone has different tolerances depending on their physical makeup and state of health. there are good reasons why its dangerous taking drugs like this with alcohol - more so than if you took stimulant drugs such as e or speed....

look at it this way - alcohol slows down your breathing. so do opiates. as you get high, your inhibitions lessen and there is the danger of drinking more or taking more of the opiates. at the same time you will feel more dreamy/sleepy..

but slow down your breathing too much and you are in the emergency room or dead.... theres a danger you could just lose conciousness and not wake up again.

the other danger is that if you keep taking these things you could end up getting a habit for them just at the time your friends supply runs out (not sure about USA but the doctors here often limit the supplies of these painkillers to prevent them being shared for recreational use..)

I know I probably sound like some damn school counsellor or even your dad - and I took other sorts of drugs in my early teenage years; but you really do not want to start on opiates.

I've seen too many bright young people not too much older than you screw their lives up on stuff like this. they can fuck your life and that of all your friends and family up worse than any other drugs.

you come across as a very intelligent young person - we need people like you to be the next generation of ravers and party people, not stuck in some rehab ward or other institution!!!

seen a friends getin into opiates 10 years ago

it's taken 10 years of trying to get clean

even now, going to a party, ex-H head friends get all punchy or leery... i think they want other people to know how fucking hard it was to get clean... or experience some of the harshness they've been through

not a good way to be for making new friends :(

They are called "hillbilly heroine" for a reason...I know of two people who did them. One of whom ended up so smashed he couldn't walk to the bus stop...had to end up stayin at a girls who I knows house and all but ended up raping her, with no recollection of the event in the morning.

Hey I dont want to sound like an ass................but be carefull with that stuff...its very addicting. Ive seen about 10 of my friends start out with painkillers just like that and then they all moved on to heroin.

OC's are like a rich mans dope.

hey general Im in the US and theres doctors here that prescribe them to anyone that says there in pain...There also way to easy to find on the streets..HUGE problem here

Does he mean Oxycontin or Oxycodone?

Both have a time release coating which lets out the Oxy over a 24 hour period. The prices in the USA is $1 per mg so an 80mg tablet will cost you $80.

You can buy these drugs from online pharmacies often at risk to you loosing your money. But you can get them and they are pricey.

There has been many deaths over this new wonder pain killing drug, mainly from overdoses by snorting or taking away the outer slow release coating and injecting the tablet. Alcohol is certainly a NO NO to mix with any of the Oxy-opiate family.

Doctors love them in the USA along with things like Vicodin which has a nice rush to it too. Like UP4DAYs post below, anyone in pain in the USA seems to be prescribed them. (Wish I was in America, lucky assholes)

I dont know much about Oxycodone. Last weekend i hosted a rolling party well i was rolling face a buddy of mine wiped out 1 shoped up a E and half of then and told me to parishot (spelled rong) it. i did not notice any diffrence in my high but i thought it would be a good idea to get a 30 pack and drink my hangover away btw thats the best way not to feel the hang over just drink till you fall asleep i know that sounds very dumb but it works for me. it seems like after you have ben doing E for a wile the hangover is unbairble is it just be or is there outhere people out there this happens to? btw i use E once every 6 months of so now. for some reason any time i would smoke weed weeks after i rolled the top of my head gows numb so it was eathere kick the E or kick the weed and i will be smoking till i die.
