| Drugs Our drugs forum is a place for frank, honest and open discussion of all topics relating to drug use and misuse. Drugs are a sensitive subject about which opinions vary so bear it in mind. Also you should avoid incriminating yourselves legally here since drugs laws are always taken seriously. Before I go into any discussion about political consequences or opinions on mephredrone, I must say just how horrible and sad this story is. Fourteen fucking years old... :( RIP
I think this is a massive blow to the call for decriminalisation of drugs. Mephredrone was freely available with no restriction and we have seen widespread abuse. The papers now have hold of this drug, it's days are numbered. I don't see this a logical reason to oppose decriminalisation - my vision of decriminalisation would not be "anyone with access to a debit card can buy for £4 off the internet" - however it will be used by prohibition supporters as another nail in the coffin for the time being. Secondly people, please be careful with the stuff. As it's use gets more widespread, I hear more and more about problems with it. Personally I've stopped doing it - I'm not going to preach that, but watch yourselves. Of course it's a relatively new substance, so for a fourteen year old, there is not a lot of information about it. With more popular classified drugs, harm reduction information is available (although nowhere near as available as I'd like) to those who can then make an informed decision whether to take it and if they do choose to, can do it in a safer manner. Disregarding all that, and going back to pure humanity - this story is very, very sad. Fourteen is so young. --- too many isms. |

yeah it's v-sad ...
i'm not sticking up for meth as i have allso stoped taking it ... but she was on a cocktail of drugs and alcahole and not just meth on it's own ... alltho it was a heart attack by the looks of things so the methe may have come into play a bit there as it's a stim ... at the age of forteen you really shouldn't take drugs at all as ur very unlikely to have an honest or knolagable infomation sorce about drugs and could easily take too much with out knowing what a safe dose is ... i recon it was knocking about the party buy what i have read ... and she was the only one to have ill effects from it ... this makes me thing one of these things .. did she just get given some and take too much? was she doing it with some one alot older/more experianced with drugs with a higher tollerance? did she possable have underlying health problems that the meth tipped her over the edge? a 14 year old can't handle half the things some one twice the age could i am strongly thinking that she was with proper cainers and was not that hardcore into drugs herself .. as unless ur a fuck up at the age of 14 you havn't really had the chance to do alot of drugs ... and by all accounts she was quite inteligent and functioned well as a human of her age in sociaty and at school ... so this makes me think she was taking drugs with the bigger girls/boys .. and obv couldn't keep up cos she so young ... i blame the people she was with rather than the drug ... they should of been so much more responsible .. fucking waste of a life man .. 14 ffs! okay firstly, a large amount of my friends knew the girl who died. My best mates, friend was best mates with Gabbie Price.
I've had to deal with people pleading with me not to take meow any more, because they were friends with the girl who died. Just so people realise that it's not just some randomer that died. Okay so, she was young, had been at a party and had taken meow, mixed with ketamine and most likely some alcohol. Firstly we all know that mixing two depessants is a bad idea for starters. Stimulants and depresants are often mixed, however, the purity of these is usually low, so we can assume that also due to her age, she had no idea of how much to take, how pure it was, or may not even had experienced either drug before and was actually introduced to the drugs at the party. The inexperience and age would most likely be the factors, and i was thinking about this whilst in the shower about 20 minutes ago, and how the media will only focus on meow even though there was a variety of dangerous chemicals in her at the same time. I also realise how many people aren't being fed the whole truth. R.I.P Gabbie |

I actually got told about this from a source within the NHS.
Sadly to someone my age its history repeating itself - I remember in my teenage years people dying from drugs of various kinds and of course the media will focus on meow as they are angry that people are bucking the system and is not illegal yet. Even the liberal media have been warning against it for months. I've noticed in 20 years both the liberal media as well as tabloids becoming more hardline, of course the liberal papers are discussing things more truthfully they are still exposing how there is a big problem with UK drugs culture as its become mixed with binge drinking. I've seen young folk in their mid teens do amounts of drugs what fucking shocked me, and this is on Sunday afternoon ater the rave! The person involved didn't suffer any physical ill health but I'm sure they weren't in any fit mental state at school by midweek and thats how people end up not getting any qualifications and then being dumped on societys scrap heap at a early age. Things like his are why I've even become a bit more of a hermit and not been out as much, I feel that at my age the Police view you as "more dodgy" for still going around with groups including young teenagers and a man like me fits the profile of a drug dealer, I don't want to get into a situation where I see a mate keel over, call nines and then get arrested on suspicion of being the dealer but I don't want to see people get into worse states for lack of prompt medical help. --- Seriantia que quondam fuit Rollandi le Pettour in Hemingeston in comitatu Suff’, pro qua debuit facere die Natali Domini singulis annis coram domino rege unum saltum et sifflettum et unum bumbulum. 15 cans of Adnams.. ![]() |

so sad, its a shame that the first known death in the UK from mephe is from such a young age aswell.
to be honest, whoever gave a 14 year old an anesthetic and a stimulant together needs to be fucking shot. Thats just an accident waiting to happen. |

I feel sorry for the 39 year old woman as well, as if she goes down she will end up in
Holloway or Styal viewed as a "child killer" and even if she is let free local vigilantés will still be on her case. Like I said I'm in my late 30s and got young friends and like to party still, but incidents like this make you wonder if its worth it. I'm not gonna risk my liberty and career just for a weekend of fun.... |

I just drank too much at 14 in front of the PC and at the odd gathering with my nerd friends.
Didnt touch weed till I was 16, Pills/speed at 17, K at 19. Didn't get into raves and taking wide ranges of drugs in large amounts too often until I was 22. 24 now. Not too shabby I don't think but wish I hadn't drunk so much as a kid. |

nah mate, iv always smoked decent hash(or what is decent for the UK).
even when i was younger i wouldn't touch council block with a barge pole. i started smoking cannabis at ~13 (not a lot), MDMA at 14 (actual crystal too, im quite the connoisseur) then got into psychedelics at about 16/17 bit young to start i know, but it wasn't a regular thing.
