extracting codeine from paracetemol cold water method

alright guys.. ive just got hold 10 codeine and paracetemol pills.. each pill containing 30mg of codeine. i wanna extract it using the cold water method, ive looked it up on the net and understand how to do it but they recommed using coffee filters for the filter.. do u rekon i could use bed sheet cloth? or what else could i use?

I used about 5 layers of kitchen roll... Just don't go too quickly and don't let too much weight accumulate. You can always do it again afterwards or as many times as you like! I only had about 4 or 5 left when I did it (half pint of water) and it looked like a large amount of Paracetamol was filtered.

I did take 3 before without filtering and my guts ached slightly for a few hours. Nothing major, but probably the paracetamol. Not a good idea of course. Afterwards with the larger amount, filtered, I felt nothing and only pleasantness!

I don't think clothing would be suitable though, most is too pourus In my opinion. The layers of kitchen roll was pretty slow draining, which was a good sign of course.

on one method i read they said use tissue paper!!!! i was like WTF! TISSUE PAPER?! surely that wouldnt be strong enough

I use a cotton wool pad out of a first aid kit, it works well.
chop the top off a bottle to make a funnel and your laughing.

nah like the big bandage things with a cotton wool pad in the middle ala...
