THe reason you felt that way is cuz you took WAY too many.. on your first time take 6-8 and you'll feel fine

have a read through the thread, i think how much you take depends on your body weight. have a look at http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dxm/ before you have a go and be carefull if your gonna go ahead.

if you want to get twisted off tussin drink a bottle and smoke some weed. that brings it to a whole new level.. i cant get high off of it anymore unless i smoke weed with it, its pretty cool.

This isn't directly to you, but anyone out there reading. I was hooked on robitussin for over a year of my life, stealing every day because I could no longer afford to actually buy the amount I was consuming. I strongly advise against this drug or any drug for that matter for anyone who sees signs of addiction (or an addictive personality) in any aspect of their life. It took me a long time to free myself from that urge to escape from day to day life with drugs. Now I suffer from severe digestive issues which I attribute to be directly caused from constantly overdosing on robitussin, and in the early stages coricidin.

With the general symptoms I show no doctor has yet been able to determine the exact cause, but I can assure you I am suffering now for all of the fun I had then. Also, it was coricidin in the beginning which I started using around 14 that I believe was the trigger of my depression, which I still battle with every day, and which I was medicated for for several years. Because I was young and just wanted to feel better I did not research side effects of depression medications I was prescribed. I trusted my doctors to only want the best for me.

Now I have been told that I cannot have children naturally due to a hormonal imbalance caused by medications. I know to all of you this sounds like a sob story of one of the guest speakers at your high school, and I would have thought the same in my prime, but I am 19 years old, sober after years of addiction. All I am suggesting is a complete awareness and understanding of the things you put into your body.

And PLEASE do not overdose on coricidin to get high people. Even doing just a bit of research I was able to pull up this information about the active ingredient in coricidin cough and cold which is potentially leathal.

"Chlorpheniramine Maleate

* High doses of Chlorpheniramine Maleate (CPM) can cause severe and life-threatening symptoms including seizures; shortness of breath or troubled breathing; weakness; loss of consciousness; severe dryness of mouth, nose, or throat; bleeding from skin, mouth, eyes, rectum, and vagina; and possibly death.
* We have seen recommendations that no more than 24 mg of CPM be taken in a day."

If you decide not to heed warning, then at least take this advice. Robitussin usually has DXM as it's only active ingredient. If you don't feel like drinking a bunch of shitty cough syrup then they also make these nifty little things called gel caps. The only draw back is that you have to take twice as many robitussin cough gels as you would coricidin to get the same effect.
