I most certainly would love a copy atm23. I sold most of my punk vinyl and I'm now on a quest do get as most of the tunes back. I sold Metal Box for a tidy sum of money but now regret it soooooooo much. Johnny Lydon is a musical genius.

yey! the whole punk scene in general...i woulda def been a punk in the 70s if i werent a little girl i wouldnt have been a rocker...

Born in 1970 I misssed most of it as well, love the pistols and PIL though, Johnny is a bit of a hero for me !...dont get me started agian!

My choice for today for "best non-dance tune" is..

I was right in amonst it april, and loved going to concerts instead of studying for my O'levels. Maybe the whole scene made me rage against the education committee
But as for breaking the mold I'd have to definitely say it was The Ramones who appeared at CBGB's in New York in 1974.
The Pistols and The Clash were influenced by The Ramones. But as you say The Pistols broke the mold in the UK.

yeah cool... i was born in 1970...haha!i was a punk the second time round...i read vivien westwoods autobiography a bit ago thats good cos she was right there in the punk era...making clothes expressing herself thru them..respectable lady....

saw an original seditionaries westwood top (Cheese cloth Anarchy in the Uk) make £1000 on E-bay a little while back.Gutted I used to have one and trashed it
