Hi,
Firstly I am not old bill. Used to goto loads of illegals and organised raves in the early days, but stopped going for a few years about 7 years ago. Met an old mate of mine who is still mcing and he told me about an illegal which was going off, but by the time we arrived after several hours of messing around, the place had been busted. This was back in August and since then I have heard about a few going off, but don't know where to go to find out some info. There was one actually in an industrial area of my home town the other week, but again missed it due to lack of knowledge. Even though we didn't make it in time to the one in August the whole buzz of it brought back loads of memories and the anticipation of it all. I live in Norfolk so would really appreciate any links or contact numbers. In my day it was all flyers, but now with the internet and mobile phones, that seems to be the way in which all this is done. Better as well as flyers gave away a bit to much info. I guess all of this proves I'm getting on. please send any info to a4e28@hotmail.com Cheers, John |

OK mate thanks. Yes I do live in Great Yarmouth. Used to goto Bees Knees, Boom and later Dance Paradise. Also travelled around to quite a few different events. To be honest I thought the scene had died, but I now know different. It seems to have gone full circle, only those in the know get to goto the events. During the very early 90s it was much easier for me as I was at college and someone would know something going off and then you could find out. Yarmouth used to always hold events, but now a days the young uns are into all this R&B clap beat shit and no-one will put on any rave events as they know the attendance would not bring them on equal terms money wise. Enough of talking about the "good old days", you have to look forward not back. You can't do anything about Yesterday, but you can do something about Tomorrow.
Thanks again, look forward to seeing what you have for me and hopefully I can dig out the old adidas trackie over xmas. LOL. John. |

Yeah i'm from around the Norfolk/Suffolk parts.
Things are dead around here really. Apart from the thriving free parties. Used to put on the Dance Paradise parties with my brother and friends actually. Only became part of it from 93 onwards though because I was the youngest out of everyone. I'll send you email straight away mate. Then chances are we will probably meet at a party someplace. |

Small world. You and I will know many of the same people then. A few of my mates used to help you guys out, some with flyers or on the stalls and others djing or mcing. Used to be a good night fella. The last two were the best. Those multi-events were pretty good. It's not often you say the last is better than the first, but I think it was shear size which made them stand out from the other dp nights.
Good to speak to ya and look forward to hearing from you with any info you might have and when I see you at some point in the near future at some event, I'll get you a bevvie for helping us out. Thanks again, John |

I am one of the old skool ravers from way back in the early 90's and sadly (well stil having wicked time), but i want my mates to experiene rave, the whole thing from the convoy etc to the dirtyness, peeing in a field, to raves that get busted, it is all wicked and some great memories, so if anyone knows of any illegal raves in the suffolk area, please text me on 07884010216 my mates will be well chuffed, and us old skool ravers can show em how it is done!

that way you can use all the other facilities of the site (such as private messages) it's not a very good idea to put your mobile number up on a public website... you may find there are problems with spamming etc, aside from darker possibilites Last edited by General Lighting; 12-05-2006 at 10:18 AM.. |

What other types of raves are there besdies semi-legal underground ones? I'm in Arizona and am totally unfamiliar with the scene in England, but am moving there soon so I very much want to learn about it! I have had some success in finding information about major events, but if your underground scene is anything like the underground scene in AZ, then finding out about the events is about knowing the right people... and I don't. Yet. Does anyone know where I could find some samples of your local DJ's sets? Or any production company websites?

I can't access the mp3 section of the site because I'm not a registered memeber.
I'm not a registered member because despite requesting it being sent to me three times, I never have recieved the conformation email to allow me to become a member. I filled out the help form explaining this, and never got a response from them either. I want to become a member, but this site seems to not want me to be one. The scene here? Check out my new post in the Hello from Arizona thread for some video, pics, and audio. About half our events are Desert Parties, and about half are Warehouse Parties. Average event size is a few hundred people, the larger ones approaching 1000. DnB and Hardcore are the most popular genres. Most desert parties cost $5-10, most warehouse cost $15-20. There is ususally one major event every saturday night, some weekends have friday and saturday night events. Ummm.... what else do you want to know? |

Brice, surely you are registered already as you have a post count etc.
Do you have hotmail or the like? If so, check your junk mail folder for stuff from partyvibe. There are a few mixes of my crew, (mainly me) located here www.biotechsystem.co.uk Check the 'downloads' section. It's all Techno and breaks. |
