Perhaps registered, but not activated? At the top of every page, I get the message:

"According to our records your account hasn't been actived yet! To become a registered member we need to verify your email address which means you have to click the link we send you in a welcome email. If you've lost this email or it never arrived, you should request another welcome email. If you suspect something went wrong and you need help, fill out this help form... "

I figured out the mp3 section, but there is no option for me to change my avatar, I think this is because my account is not activated?

In my day it was all flyers, but now with the internet and mobile phones, that seems to be the way in which all this is done. Better as well as flyers gave away a bit to much info. hey hey soon to be ravarrrrs theres raves every saturday pretty much you will never know where they are until the night im part of one of the systems in norfolk there are about pft 10 systems in the norwich area so far we through comunity parties but police are now crushing down so it is all very hush hush. advertising it all on the net aint a good idea as there are sites already with vids from raves ect and police are survailing them. new party lines are constantly given out and the best way to get them is by going to a systems hall rave these are legal and will be advertised usually through people you know not flyers any more and you will usually be able to blag into th convoy for the after party if not just cruise about on a sat night look out for the convoys im not givin out ne party lines or system names coz i aint even too hapy bout this chit chat on here its a comunity scene and we wanna keep it safe for the people that go we aint all in it just for the drugs its an amazing thing to be part of and you will need to simply ask out for any body with party lines or lifts sorry not meaning to be rude its a scene for every one and every ones welcome but we do need to be careful the ravers will understand.... hugs kisses n fairy wishes kitty XxX

you've probably all noticed by now that no-one is sending you any information about their parties just because you've posted your email address

if you into the music, get to some decent licensed events and you'll be invited soon enough

or spend some time geting to know people who use this and other forums and you might be invited to a party eventually

I agree, it's unusual for organisers give out their numbers willy-nilly for unlicenced events. It takes time to build up a bit of trust on the message boards.

Personally I've found here in Ireland, the best way to get yourself invited to free parties is to make friends with DJ's who play in the clubs, but stay away from big commercial clubs. Find your favourite genre(s), go to the club, and tell the DJ's how much you've enjoyed their set. Before you know it, you'll have more invites than you know what to do with.

I've only been given a snobby reception by one DJ (y'know the ones who start to believe thier own hype and it goes to their head...) the way I see that is, I wouldn't want to go to one of his parties anyway!

BTW the boards, if you can take enough time out to browse them and make the effort to post in them (lurkers are very suspect), is the next best way to get invites. Even though I live in Dublin, I've been a member of partyvibe for a while now and when I'm looking for a UK party I always get answers to my posts. I've been on so many adventures because of partyvibe, which have led to further adventures etc etc etc.

Finally share a little PLUR and you'll always get it back. This applies to the boards, AND the parties!
