Been shopping around and the tatt i want is weeeell expensive. For the highly detailed tiger tatt that i want i'm looking at around 300-400 pounds. Gonna be worth it though, just gotta save but I'm shite at saving lol!

Last Night was an A1, tip-top, clubbing, jam fair. It was a sandwich of fun, on ecstasy bread, wrapped up in a big bag like disco fudge. It doesn't get much better than that. I just wish that I could control these *fucking mood swings!*

Finally after 10 years of consideration I've finally booked in for my first tatt in September. 10 bloody years is a long time I tell you... ever since I was 16 I've been after the arty scar. At 14 I had my ear pierced - 18 months later I had 6 piercings and hadn't even finished my GCSE's. Duely noted, I figured if I had a tatt at 16 years by the time I reached 20 I'd be covered in them - and most of them I'd probably regret.

So I resisted and waited until I felt more mature - plus waited to see what sort of body shape I'd grow into - and alas finally the tatt man and I have booked a date

I'm going for a Michael Jackson gravestone

Nah not really...

It's a leaf design starting from my shoulder blade, going over my trap and finishing on my chest. There's one the other side too, making it symetrical. The idea is I wanted the tatt to look like it was grown on / attached to me. Merged into the design are 8 symbols, mainly from western Africa, that represents aspects of my personality - things like 'creativity' 'patience and tolerance' stuff like that plus a couple of signs for protection.

It'll look the cows titties when it's done, I'll whack a picture up on here in a couple of moths or so

I think if theyre tastefull and not too butch I think they look ace (I have a thing for "emo" girls =\). I wanted a sleeve but the NHS doesnt employ doctors with tattoos that cant be covered. I think I might get a three quarter sleeve in "Nu School" style and of the key points in my life. I think its pretty good because as stuff happends I can add to it and its relevent. What do you lot think about this and would you ask for a different doctor if he came in and had a full sleeve?

I used to want to become a tattoo artist, got the tattoo guns and everything a few years ago to see what it was like, how to set it up and such.

Im just going to stick with getting them now.

Tattoos on girls looks BUFF. But im proper picky with them.

Dont really like tribal..I love portraits and pin ups :) And when they're just random blobs scattered on places, not too nice.

I couldnt give a shit what my doc looked like as long as they know what they on about, but I can understand the constraints you are faced with. (*and I'm sure this will be the pretty much common viewpoint on this forum - due to the peeps who ppost on here* )
different depts have different tollerance levels, but they do go on about 'proffesional' apperance in some jobs and I guess if thats what you wanna do - you may have to compromise
your idea sounds good - as you say you can add to it - and its always worth getting stuff personal and with meaning if you gonna live with it for your lifetime

(there was a thread here ages ago about this subject - I'll try and find it if I can and bump it )

Whoop! I've just gone and got inked ain't I?? Whoop Whoop! Bloke has done the outline and now, cos he's a busy fella, I have to wait another month to get the shading and filling done :D And not only that, but he shaved my chest for absolutely no extra cost whatsoever. Happy me!

I haven't got any myself but do like the look of them as long as they're not totally covering someones body.
