I've seen the traditional style that (I believe) began in the Pacific countries. It involves a hammer and long, slender quill (of bamboo, I think). The Japanese style utilises this technique, as did indigenous Oceania tribes (the Polynesians, for example).
I'm looking at getting a large, stylised sun tattooed on my back, in a similar style to Maori/Polynesian traditional tattoo's. Has anyone here had a sitting with a traditional artist? How does it differ to the machine? Did you enjoy the experience? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback :oD --- "What is this? Another ultimate weapon?" "You could say that."
