Last Night was an A1, tip-top, clubbing, jam fair. It was a sandwich of fun, on ecstasy bread, wrapped up in a big bag like disco fudge. It doesn't get much better than that. I just wish that I could control these *fucking mood swings!*

i'm old enough to remember gas, electric, telephones, trains, buses, water, post all being national. all these industries needed investment. there were 2 ways to raise the funds; national or private investment

thatcher, then major, then blair favoured private.

since privatisation, all of these industries have turned a fucking massive profit. if those industries had remained national property, that profit would be to the benefit of every taxpaying citizen. e.g. south west water makes the biggest profits of any company in the region.

since privatisation, all of these industries have become considerably more expensive to the customer (all of us)

I'm still waiting for the government to pay me for my share of british gas, electric, rail, telecom, mail that they sold.

i am also having issues with my gas company. switched companys from BG to npower when i moved in to new house. Gave B.G the final meter reading. got final bill from B.G and paid it. 3 mnths later after switching to npower got bill from BG sayin we owed them £800. Phoned them up thought we'd sorted it out, they said it was their fault.

3mnths later we get another bill for £1800!!! saying pay now or its going to a debt collector! called them up and apperently they had 'lost' our final meter readings(?) so they had been adding guestemated (sp) meter readings onto our closed account? They then wanted me to rinf npower and get the final meter reading so they could properly close our account?

WTF???!!!

sounds very similar to us, except its with our current company who were undercharging us so we incurred the debt, despite them acknowledging it was their fault as we gave regular meter readings....

go on the energy watch website, fill in the form and they will send you info - then phone the ombudsman and they will give you info on how to write a letter -(right lingo and all) and if still not satisfied, you can proceed (as they have to give them opportunity to reply)
Its time consuming but dont let the fuckers get one over.....
even if you dont get a refund it'll make you feel better that you've not just sat down and accepted it

When I contacted energywatch (due to a similar saga of info being lost by a contact centre) I didn't even have to fill in any forms, I just got a letter a week later from powergen saying they had written off the entire outstanding bill (I was actually willing to pay the bit of it that was correct!)

are they cheaper than npower? cause im with them and after watching the news yesterday about a 17% price rise i think i might switch (despite the hassle it caused me last time!), is it gonna be worth it or are they all gonna be roughly the same when the price increase comes in?

I saw this thing on tv saying dont switch or do a price comparrison yet - wait 2 - 3 months as all the gas companies are going to follow suit with N power, and increase their tarrifs,
and if you do a comparrison now its going to be false....
