People leaving their fecking keys in the lock.... I couldn't get in my house this morning when I got in so I ended up kipping on my driveway... was a lovely morning though

It's all academic really; we will outgrow religion as we've outgrown our belief in goblins and dragons. One day we will just accept our mortality, and get on with the business of living.

Not so much of a rant but more of a mourning. My mate had to take his decks back and now my room has lost it's soul. Strange thing is i haven't played on em in ages, now they're gone, i wanna play on em!! I still have my old belts so may have to get em out of the loft!

A very good friend of mine got beaten up really bad last week and is still in hospital and is in surgery right now..

It really pisses me off that people treat each other like this,
and over a fucking mobile phone

And it pisses me off I can't be there for him

Why the hell do I live so far away

hope your friend recovers Angel - it is really bad this culture of violence at the moment

I hope its not someone we both know (or is it one of your friends in Denmark?)

oh, and today we learned the atomic bombs at RAF Lakenheath have been taken away back to America on the instructions of Dubya (probably on cost grounds due to the recession!)

Even the airbase may close as its somewhat pointless keeping bombers there if you don't have any bombs to put in them!

but instead of people celebrating that these dangerous things are being taken away from our soil, the councillors are whinging about the effect to the local economy...

yes it probably will cost jobs in the short term but for one thing the airbase won't disappear overnight and when it does, all that space and resources could be re-used by local people and businesses for far more positive things?

He's from Luton, and i'll be there in 12 days time so I will see him eventually

He's a dj Level-1, and a very good friend I care a lot about

I'm staying alone in Luton for a week, and that actually scares me a bit too

most British towns are fine provided you accept a certain amount of limitation to your freedom compared to that of Denmark

just avoid the "bad areas" (your friends will often say where these are, they are usually around parks/woods where youths congregate but where the CCTV schems isn't working..

actually for girls/women there isn't as much hassle from blokes other than sexist comments/wolf-whistling, but beware of large groups of girls, they have gangs too

maybe try to get in touch with Africa/Irie (I think she is on leviticus forum) as she knows the area well and is the same age group as you...

It is really bad how much violence there is, i watched this really long trailor for that disarming britain week last night on ch4 and it actually made me feel really sad and depressed at how quick people are to resort to guns/violence etc. I think it said there had been about 9500 gun crimes last year, and thats only the guns! shocking.

Folks, tell me if this is utter bullshit. I have no money at all and my boss is sending me to London on the tube three times next week. there's plenty of my fellow workers who can go and who can afford it, I've told my boss that I'm skint and cannot afford train fare. He then told me that i should have money left and that if he hears again that I'm skint, I'm to face a disciplinary. This is the biggest load of horse shit i've ever heard. How the FUCK can you discipline someone for having no money.

the only employers with any control over their staffs personal finances are the Police (because of trust/integrity/discipline issues) and maybe those in frontline Whitehall departments with enforcement roles.

AFAIK if your contract does not specifically state your place of employment may include London your employers cannot reasonably expect you to regularly travel there without providing expenses or a salary advance

Even then when I had to go to London or anywhere else when working in the Civil Service they would reimburse me for travel expenses.

If your employer however is trying to pull you up for "spending your money inappropriately" they should either have the guts to say this or forget it, unless its in a clause of your contract (and even then this would be of dubious legalilty) private sector employers have no right to dictate how you spend your personal cash.

I think he's just a horrible cunt and doesn't like others enjoying themselves. I'm gonna tell him that i accept the disciplinary and that for my witness, i want his boss there. See how he likes them apples!!

(We are meant to get floats for travel etc but we've never received one)
