Bass. It's just low frequency noise, isn't it? A rumble, wobble, belch, kick or hum. A mere 'element' of music.

Well, no. Bass is transcendental. Bass has the power to tamper with human emotions. Bass will boot you in the stomach with a scruffy steel toe-capped DM then, in the next millisecond, wrap you in the softest, most luxuriant subsonic blanket. Respect bass, and it'll respect you back. Love it and it'll be the best relationship you ever embarked upon. (I'm undecided about having kids with it though).

Anyway, If you fancy having a wee dalliance with bass, or you're one of those addicts who needs a regular dose, then come to the 23rd Tinnitus party. Details below . . .

Tinnitus 23 @ The Red House, Solly St, Sheffield, Sheffield, Friday 2 October 2009

MURDERBOT
(Dead Homies / Mashit Records / Sleazetone, Chicago US) The last time Chrissy played for us he caused a roadblock on Solly Street, so we've booked him again (well, durr!). Proper badbwoy junglist mentalism, and he's a pretty snappy dresser as well ;)

REDLINE
(Urban Graffiti / Rottun Recordings / Cymbalism)
Keeping in line with our unswerving dedication to bring Sheffield the best in forward-thinking UK underground bass music, this Wakefield-based producer and DJ will be making his Red House debut with the moodiest of licks and the heaviest of dubs.

Ron Atomizer
(Stay Up Forever/Cluster/Mobile Dogwash/Headcharge)

The Sheffield techno legend and one half of Mobile Dog Wash will be mixing up a heavy dose of extremely hard techno, Tinnitus style.

Ketwork 32's new monthly night on the first Friday of the month at a new underground club opening in the heart of Reading town centre kicks off on October 2nd 2009 and we have an outrageously monstrous line up in store.......

BIZZY B (jungle)

Bizzy B helped to pave the way back in the days when hardcore was becoming jungle. Bizzy's Brian label released some of the best junglistic'ardcore there was, which have remained classics to this day. Bizzy B also put out the debut releases of Marc Caro (Technical Itch), Peshay and DJ Zinc and Slammin' Vinyl's Mike Slammer and Red Alert's first 2 releases. Bizzy also released many a classic on other labels such as Slowjam & DarkIII on Whitehouse, Stamina and Raw Dogs Relik on Suburban Base and many more.

He's recently been producing 2-step and Breaks with his Undercover Agents label and still releases drum'n'bass under "Warped Science" and Bizzy B is still rinsing the jungle out all over the world with the next stop being Reading

BROKEN NOTE (pure filth)
Raised on a diet of pure filth, the Broken Note duo are bringing their own unique sound to the electronic music scene. Combining lean, considered production skills with an appreciation of diverse rough beats; they have quickly established themselves as a sonic force to be reckoned with.

Their Drum and Bass is disturbingly brutal, with undulating beats and bass that are unushamed to draw from the darkly edgey sounds of Gabba and Techno. It delivers a rhythmic pounding that has set dancefloors around the world on fire with its astonishing heaviness.

THE ASBO DISCO (Bass heavy party music)
The ASBO Disco is all about mashing up styles-I suggest you download the following mix http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0FAXR2LO and play it loudly to get a feel for what their sets are all about but obviously every set is unique. The ASBO sound has really set alight the festival and club scene this year with steam roller sets at The Secrete Garden Party, Boom Town Fair and a whole load of regular club nights in Bristol, Swansea, Cardiff and Bath amongst others. This is your chance to see one of the best fresh acts out there. THE ASBO DISCO ARE GONNA BE HUGE - TRUST!
